Valuations of interesting sequences

Abstract: Given a sequence ${ a_{n} }$ of integers and a prime $p$, the sequence of valuation $nu_{p}(a_{n})$ presents interesting challenges. This talk will discuss a variety of examples in order to illustrate these challenges and present our approach to this problem.
